The main idea is that the system needs to convert very high rotational speed into a slower, more usable speed with more torque for the drivetrain. The component that does this is the Reduction Gearbox, which sits between the Power Turbine and the Transmission Shaft. It uses gears to lower the RPM coming from the turbine while increasing torque so the transmission shaft can be driven effectively. The Power Turbine itself provides the energy at high speed; the Transmission Shaft is just the line that carries the power onward, not a reducer. The Axial Compressor is part of the engine’s air intake/compression and doesn’t transfer power to the drivetrain.
